The double room is freshly decorated and great-sized. En suite bathroom is fairly clean. All in all they offer excellent service. The staff are excellent and pleasant, giving their best to make the stay an enjoyable experience.

The location
We booked a triple room with a double and a single bed. We were given a room with four very small single beds right at the top of the house. The bathroom was so small that you could hardly move. The wash basin was tiny. The TV was a portable from about 20 years ago. There was no bedside lamp or bedside table between the two beds which were in the most comfortable location. There was no electrical socket within reach of the kettle. The cooked breakfast was poor.

Can just recommend for overnight stay
Cozy room, comfortable bed, the room was clean and inviting with a fridge and kettle available, while the hotel is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Goodge Street Underground Station.
Found nothing wrong.

A traditional English bed and breakfast hotel, unchanged I would say from the 1960's, which means that if you need an en-suite then look elsewhere. My room (nr 6) was very small but with a hand basin and facing the back which was pretty quiet and green. Floor boards creak above at night - but so what? It's not really suitable for single women (because of having to parade up and down to the loo etc) but for a man like me looking for a quiet night before work the following day - just ideal. It's on a busy road (Gower St) but which leads right into the centre of London (bus stop opposite). Most of the guests seemed to be from abroad - I think Americans would be a bit put off by the faded and limited facilities but if you go into this with your eyes open you'll probably be ok.
Breakfast could have been better with a bit of effort - the ingredients were fine but the staff needed more training and investment into organisation and management skills. I had the sense of a general lack of experience amongst the staff who needed additional English language tuition and the presence of a manager qualified in the field of 'Hospitality and Management'. There are many universities in the uk offering this specialism, so there's actually no excuse for inaction.

Great Location
Unfriendly staff, dated furniture and amenities eg still running a analogue tv and WiFi unconnectable. Shower in the room and sink but no toilet!

A large, clean room with a comfortable bed and friendly reception staff stood out , complemented by great value for money. Despite these positives, issues with cleanliness were apparent, with dust in corners and disconnected electrical items. The bathroom was notably cramped. Given these factors, caution is advised when considering a longer stay.

Despite horrendous reviews, the hotel was fine. Room & facilities were clean, & no noise issues. Breakfast was good & the hotel is in a good location.
Hotel currently being redecorated, so some general mess. TV barely usable. Carpets in poor condition throughout.

The location was great. Breakfasts were adequate.
Noisy!!!! Street traffic as well as noise from other rooms (slamming doors, loud voices, etc). No lift. Carrying 5 pieces of luggage up 60 steps was not fun! State of bathroom very unsatisfactory-mould on shower ceiling, water faucets that were extremely difficult to turn off.

Nothing, horrible experience.. very disappointed
The single room is basically, small box to sleep in, or should I say to die in... Room no. 15 which should be room no. 666 is just a small corridor between the entrance and back garden changed to a room size of 1meter x 1 meter and the an old wooden door leads to a bushy garden, no one touched it in ages.. horror... The food was cold and tasteless... I was fortunate I stayed for one night, £69 oh my god I just wanted to call the hotel inspector (TV show) to see it.... Extremely disappointed, as a visitor to London, the capital of England, I was shocked with the standard, it was below zero, I probably won’t even use book.com anymore for recommending such place. Thank you

The location is good, really close to British museum etc.
The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. I only had three hours sleep for this reason as every time I moved the springs embedded into my back. In fact the floor would have been far more comfortable had there been enough floor space to lie down on.

Well located to tottenham court road & west end.
Basic rooms, old house with split rooms devided by thin walls. Quite noisy at times. Furniture very old and miss matched.

Friendly staff. Made to feel comfortable.
Sadly, the house-keeping was slightly off. The sheets and pillows contained white blotches and a few dark marks. Not the end of the world, but all the same, a little off putting.
